The Shop Baseball Performance Academy is the premier baseball academy in the Central Virginia area, offering the highest level of instruction and competitive programs for baseball players aged 8-14 and above. We are affiliated with the Richmond Braves National Baseball Club and powered by The Shop BPA. Our goal is to provide players with the opportunity to develop their skills and reach their potential in a positive and encouraging environment. With experienced coaches and a dedication to teaching the fundamentals of baseball, we strive to help each player reach their peak performance.

2024-25 7U-14U Tryouts

Are you interested in joining one of the fastest-growing travel baseball programs in Central Virginia? The Capital Region Richmond Braves, a regional affiliate of the Richmond Braves National Program (a Rawlings Platinum Club), offer highly competitive baseball teams for ages 7U-14U. Powered by The Shop Baseball Performance Academy, your child will have the opportunity to train both as a team and individually with our highly regarded coaching staff.

Each child who wishes to join our program must register, tryout, receive, and accept an offer to join.

Step 1: Register

Step 2: Attend Tryouts
Location: Airpark Kids Zone - 11169 Air Park Rd, Ashland, VA 23005
Dates and Times:

May 29th (7-9U): 6:00-8:00 PM
May 30th (10-12U): 6:00-8:00 PM
May 31st (13-14U): 6:00-8:00 PM
*Make-up sessions available from 8:00-9:00 PM each day for those unable to attend their scheduled age group session.

Step 3: Receive Offer Letter
After all tryouts have concluded, our coaches will take a few days to evaluate each player to determine their fit for the team. If a coach selects your child, an offer letter will be sent to the email used during registration. This letter will outline the dues and fees for the 2024-25 season.

Step 4: Accept Offer Letter
Upon receiving the offer letter, we kindly ask that you respond (Accept or Decline) within 24 hours.
